It is summer again and as most know it is the most popular time to get married. All the magazines are talking about how to have the best summer wedding and the buzz is out that summer is the time to tie the knot. Why not- schools are out, the weather is usually the best and summer brings out the fun life in most people, no matter where you live.
So why not you ask again? The main reason is budget and the answer is saving your self enough for a down payment on a home and still having your perfect wedding. The two most popular times to get married are summer, with June topping the list, and the Christmas/New Year season. Since they are the most popular they are the most expensive. Depending on how many people you are having at your event and where you are holding it, the difference is usually five to fifteen thousand dollars. Seriously, the banquet halls and almost everything else that has to do with a wedding is twice as much. The merchants know you want to get married during this time so they hike the prices.
Unless you absolutely have to get married in the summer because of family that can only make it then(remember not everyone will make your wedding no matter when you have it as life happens), choose the Fall or Spring as your wedding will be just as beautiful and the memories the same but the potential regret of what you could have done with that extra money will not override the speciality of what your wedding day will be. After all it is the vows that are most imporatant as the marriage is what you are entering for life not the banquet hall.
